How to Find Your Niche to Start Your Business With Heather Elise

Finding your niche is one of the most important steps in the process of starting your own business. No longer can you get ahead by being a ‘jack of all trades’. When it comes to finding your niche, Heather Elise has the knowledge and breadth of experience to get you there.

Heather is the founder of Heather Elise Coaching and is a business and success coach for women – helping scores of women to launch and scale their online coaching business. With years of experience, Heather has been able to prove her methodologies time and time again.

Well, how does she do it? How does she help people find their place in the market? Well, that’s exactly what we’ll be discussing today. As a business and success coach, it’s part of her job to help you find a place in the market where your coaching idea can grow and thrive. Heather takes a lot of pride in that, because once you know what your niche is, your dream begins to feel more real, and that’s exactly what she wants for you. So, let’s see how you can find your niche.

Consider Your Passions and Interests

If you haven’t done this, then you need to do it right away! Sit down and make a list of your top 10 passions and interests. What is it that makes you feel alive? What do you enjoy the most? What do you look forward to? What topics do you enjoy the most? What do you care about?

This last question is key. Businesses are challenging and they will test you from time to time. If you don’t really care about what you’re doing, you will eventually quit. Finding your niche is all about finding what moves you, what you’re truly passionate about, so your business can survive when things get rough.

What Needs Can You Cover?

Once you have your list, you need to start narrowing down the options. When you’re creating a business profile, you need to determine what needs you can cover for your target customers. What can you do for your customers? How can you make their lives better?

Of course, part of my job is to help you with that! We will analyze your target market and do the necessary research to determine what issues your target customers are having and how your business can provide a solution.

Check Out the Competition

“Most people look at competition like it’s a bad thing, but that’s not necessarily the case. When there’s competition, it means your niche is profitable, so you have a great chance of success. What you need to do is stand out and differentiate yourself from the competition.” Heather explains.

In other words, you need to bring something unique to the table. How? Well, by providing better, more valuable content than the others, and by being more honest and transparent, among other things!

Determine How Profitable Your Niche Is

You must have a clear idea of the niche you’ll be going into. Once you’ve settled on a niche, you need to determine how much money you can make from it. This means you need to look at the competition and see how they’re monetizing it, determine if there’s not an overabundance of products, and make note of the price points so you know what you’re getting into.
