All may be well, or it might not. But sometimes the best things to ever happen to us are often found on the other side of seemingly grim situations. Seeing the worst of things allows us to love and appreciate our lives even more, motivating us to work on ourselves and be a source of our own inspiration. Only then will we inspire those around us. Relatable in many ways, this is the inspiring story of fitness mogul Michelle Paulsen’s passion, self-belief, and how they helped her achieve her fitness goals despite suffering from a serious injury.
Health and fitness regimes are often overlooked and underserved by us, as we don’t take it as seriously as we should. However, Michelle Paulsen is a fitness and health coach who’s on a mission to make people love their bodies and configure their actions to lead a healthier lifestyle. Michelle proudly serves as the owner of MichelleFitCoaching, a fitness & coaching business growing in leaps and bounds, thanks to her innovative fitness approaches. Nevertheless, the path to becoming one of the most renowned coaches wasn’t a walk in the park either, especially for her
Hailing from Billerica, Massachusetts, Michelle has been fighting the immensely painful Bertolotti’s syndrome since birth. Born with a fusion in her sacrum and spine on one side, the syndrome caused her hips to shift, which was followed by terrible chronic lower back pain. For someone as athletic and sporty as Michelle, this would be nothing short of a nightmare, but instead of letting it take over her, she fought against it and managed to achieve her fitness goals. She emerged victorious and proved herself to be stronger than her condition.
Knowing how one has to lead by example, Michelle didn’t let anything, not even her chronic pain, get in her way of having a healthier lifestyle. It was an act of defiance against anything that threatened to bring her down, showing others that they can overcome anything if they believe they can and that there should be no compromise on health. Our body does so much for us; shouldn’t we give it something in return as well? Something that is utterly beneficial for us in the long run?
While training for a bodybuilding competition, Michelle thought starving was what it takes and ended up picking up an eating disorder that took her six years to recover. So the fitness coach is on a mission to educate individuals on the proper way to get the body they want without cutting out the food they love. Many people still believe the age-old notion that starving oneself to become thinner is the only way to go, resulting in the gradual development of eating disorders. Michelle, having gone through that herself, wants to make sure others don’t follow that dark road.
The joy and happiness she feels while helping others is her driving force to always finding ways to make people feel more confident in their bodies. If you believe you or someone you love has an eating disorder or you simply want to invest in a healthy lifestyle, feel free to reach out to Michelle Paulsen on her Instagram or Facebook account.
