Alex Grove Shares His Motivation for Starting His Business as a Sports Psychotherapist

Behind the formation of any business is a story of motivation and innovation. The story of the owner of Alex Grove Coaching and Development is a similar one that has assisted athletes through coaching, counseling, and player care. Alex Grove, the man behind the coaching and player care enterprise, started his business after observing the need for established and fluent sports psychotherapists.

As the director and service lead of Alex Grove Coaching and Development, his original focus was to help individuals through executive coaching. In this position, he provided his services in London to finance, insurance, and IT professionals. While working with such diverse individuals, one thing that came into the limelight was how people responded to stress as they ascended in their careers. He realized that people in employment with unusual challenges and settings needed support.

This revelation prompted the counselor within Alex to research specific stresses suffered by professional athletes. As an avid sports follower and lover himself, he was interested in the life of professional players.

Alex’s counseling background propelled him to unravel the story between sporting performance and the tensions it produces – finding that success and failure are its ultimate results.

Whether it was coaching or counseling, Alex’s desire to improve the performance of professional athletes won out, and he founded Alex Grove Coaching and Development Ltd. He wanted to challenge the best approach to train and achieve goals, and he felt that “prioritizing a team’s biggest asset means taking care of its members.”

Since 2017, when the company was first established, Alex has grown in terms of clientele and experience. Although he began his journey as an executive coach, helping professionals maintain work-life balance and productivity, he began to understand the need for a sport psychotherapist. He wants to make a difference through his coaching, counseling, and player care initiative. Alex believes that a team is run by its members, and without them, the progress and success of the whole team can fall.

Alex Grove has made improvements with several clients.

As he continues to cater to a neglected niche, we wish Alex nothing but luck and success in future endeavors.
