Dr. Rachel Jones is a Psychiatrist who diagnoses and treats mental health problems. She also runs The Hormone Clinic, which specializes in identifying and treating mental health symptoms caused by hormone imbalance.
Dr. Jones studied medicine at St. Bartholomew’s Medical School in London and has a Bachelor’s of Medicine and Surgery. She worked as a Consultant Psychiatrist for almost twenty years in the NHS (National Health Service) before establishing her clinic. This included working as a consultant in Forensic Psychiatry at The John Howard Secure Hospital in London.
During her years working as a Consultant in Psychiatry at various venues, she identified a significant gap in medical care. Dr. Jones realized that many of her patients dealing with mental health issues had undiagnosed hormone imbalances.
Using Bioidentical Hormone Replacement Therapy (BHRT), she began to adjust and calibrate the hormone levels of her patients. Not only were her methods ethical and holistic in approach, catering to the well-being of her patients, but they also provided global health benefits.
She finally established her own clinic, The Hormone Clinic, in April 2021, where she began to treat a wide variety of hormonal conditions. The conditions being treated at the clinic include – premenstrual syndrome, premenstrual dysphoric disorder, perimenopause, menopause, postnatal depression, as well as andropause and testosterone deficiency in men.
Besides her successful clinic, Dr. Jones is a member of The Royal College of Psychiatrists. She has also been given the honor of publishing her research in the Psychiatric Bulletin and developing, organizing, and teaching a professional MRCPsych clinical examination course.
